Introducing me!

Robot built by my Dad, Jeffry Siegle using
scrap metals

Hello Everyone! My name is Madison, in 21 years old and I just moved to Alaska last month with my husband and our dog. A few things about me, I am going to school to become an Elementary teacher. I worked at a daycare for a year and fell in love with working with kids so I decided to switch my major, again. I love spending time with my dog, Kali, eating yummy food and caring for my plants. I am originally from Pennsylvania, but spent the last two years in Kansas because my husband is Active Duty Military. We have been in Alaska for exactly a month, and we both love it! Were located in Anchorage and have been spending a lot of time checking out local businesses.

Art has always been a large part of my life, especially growing up. My dad went to college for Art and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. During my childhood, my dad had a large art studio downstairs with all the paints, chalks, and canvases you could imagine. As I got older, he has ventured into different types of media and now makes "Robots" from scrap pieces. Although, I did not inherit an drop of artistic talent from him, I have always had a great appreciation for art and love going to Art museums. Just recently, I attended the Museum of the Rockies in Boseman, Montana. Here is the link to their site, with the list of the current Exhibition list: Exhibitions - Museum of the Rockies

  2. Loved your Dad's robot!!! Thanks for the link to the Museum of the Rockies. I go through Bozeman frequently. I need to stop there and do some of my ukulele work, so I will put the museum on my list of things to do. I taught elementary school music for 21 years. It was an amazing job. Good luck with your career.

  3. Hi Madison, nice to meet you. Your dad's robot is very cool! My son is into building Gundams, which remind me of transformers, but you have to build each one out of tiny pieces and it takes forever! He has tried on several occasions to get me to build one, but I just don't have the patience. Good luck this semester!

  5. Hi Madison, Alaska is such an amazing place. I've lived in North Pole(next to Fairbanks) for most of my life and I love it here. I visit Anchorage a couple times a year but I love the mountains down there. I think it's super cool that your dad has moved through a couple different artistic phases and is onto robots now. I'm not terribly artistic myself but that seems so cool. I had a friend as well that moved to Pennsylvania several years back so I have a small connection to it through him. Welcome to our lovely state and I hope you enjoy your stay.
